Andy Kahrs
Andy Kahrs is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with a distinct roots sound based in blues, soul, and classic country. His 2022 EP Together was met with critical acclaim and streaming success, being featured on Spotify’s ‘Got Blues’ and ‘Best Blues Songs of 2022’ editorial playlists. Nashville’s Music Mecca lauded his “vocal prowess” and “unique sound that stands out from the usual Nashville subjects.”
Raised in Georgia, Kahrs started his career in Atlanta and Athens blues bars before a 2014 move to San Francisco, where his wife attended graduate school. The move sparked a longing for the sounds of the south, and his style began incorporating elements of bluegrass and country. Andy’s time out west culminated with his involvement in ‘Rhinestone: The Songs of Glen Campbell’, a tribute to one of the 20th century’s greatest talents, which he still performs to sellout crowds along the west coast.
Kahrs made the move to Nashville in 2018, where he has since released a self-produced acoustic LP of original material, Inside a Song, and the 2022 EP Together, a 3-song EP produced by Bobby Holland (Maggie Rose, Kesha) that took his career to new heights with a southeastern tour and over 3,000 monthly Spotify listeners. Kahrs has released two new singles in 2023 produced by Zach Allen (Keb’ Mo’), featuring another stylistic step in his unique blend of roots genres. Expect a southeastern tour to follow later this year.
